WILDFIRE UPDATE

🔥🔥 WILDFIRE UDPATE🔥🔥

December 1, 2021

Acres: 2,060 acres

Containment: 60%

Smoke from the Fodderstack Wildfire could be seen for miles on Tuesday afternoon in Polk and Montgomery Counties, but fire professionals made extensive progress on containment, bringing total containment to 60%. Backburn operations and the use of natural and man-made control lines proved beneficial and aided in the increase in containment.

Smoky conditions are still expected for a couple of days. Drivers are encouraged to slow down in smoky conditions and be aware of increased emergency response traffic on the roads.
